Chevrolet gets nostalgic about Camaro special editions

General Motors has made an art of banking on nostalgia. The automaker has a long and storied history from which to draw inspiration and design DNA, and no model underscores that fact better than the Chevrolet Camaro.

With lines that harken directly to the now legendary 1969 muscle car and more performance than ever before, the fifth-generation Camaro is perhaps the closest successor to the original concept in the vehicle’s history. Now GM is banking on that past just a little more thanks to a host of Chevrolet Camaro special editions.

Those include hardware like the 2011 Synergy and Neiman Marcus edition vehicles that we’ve seen over the past few months as well as the Indy Pace Car Convertible. For 2012, GM will roll out the Honor and Valor edition Camaro exclusively to those who are actively serving in the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard, and only 100 examples will be produced. In addition, the 45th Anniversary Edition Camaro will also touch down. Hit the jump to check out the video for yourself.
